Dorothy Queen

Dorothy Queen, 77 of New Philadelphia passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014 following a period of declining health. She was born at Rock Cave, W. Va., the daughter of the late Herman and Wana Walness Queen. She had been a cook at Apple Creek Institute, a Home Health Care Aide and a ham radio operator. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, New Phila. Surviving are 2 daughters and sons in law; Nedra (Tracy) Lovell and Bebra (Tom) McGinnis both of New Phila, 1 son and daughter in law, Randy (Loretta) Layfield of Sherrodsville, 2 sisters and 1 brother, Genella Jeffers, Dreama Mulling and Howard Queen, 1 brother John Queen is deceased. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014 at 3 P.M. in Kingdom Hall, 1212 Kelly N.W. New Phila. Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City is assisting the family with arrangements.
