Pauline I Harrold

Pauline I. Harrold,, 84 of Beach City, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Affinity Hospital, Massillon following a period of declining health. She was born October 23, 1929 in Massillon, Ohio to the late Floyd and Loretta Kubik Maybaugh. She had been a resident of Beach City for 79 years and a resident of Altercare of Navarre Nursing Home the past 4 years. She had been secretary for Camp Wanake, Conference Secretary for the East Ohio Conference of the Evangelical United Brethern Church and the Conference Delegate to The General Conference in Dallas in the 1968 to merge the EUB Church and the Methodist Church to form The United Methodist Church. She retired as the Clerk of Utilities for the Beach City Utilities Department. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald K. (“Green”) Harrold on January 1, 2009 and a brother, Theodore (Ted) Maybaugh on Feb. 12, 2010. Surviving are one son and daughter in law, Kenneth (Sally) Harrold of Chagrin Falls, Oh,; one granddaughter, Kelly Rogers of Wadsworth, Oh.; two sisters in law and brothers in law Norma (Gene) Bender of Massillon and Helen (Richard) Colaner of Navarre and numerous nieces and nephews. Pauline was a member of the Beach City United Methodist Church and the Family Circle Class and Beach City Pythian Sisters. Friends may call Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 6 - 8 p.m. with a Pythian Sisters service being held at 5:45 p.m..A celebration of life service will be held, Friday, May 16 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the United Methodist Church, Main St. Beach City with Pastor Jon Long officiating. Interment will be made in South Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Beach City United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 336, Beach City, Oh. 44608.
