Naomi L Jacobs

Naomi L. Jacobs, 99 of Beach City passed away July 9, 2014 following a period of declining health. She was born at Littleton, W. Va., the daughter of the late William K. and Lillian Emma Mathews Longstreth and a resident in Beach City 70 years. After schooling she had been employed as a secretary at Pope-Gosser China Co. in Coshocton, in later years as an aide at Country Lawn Nursing Home, Navarre. Naomi was the oldest founding member of the Dover Church of Christ. She was preceded by her husband, Harley Jacobs, Jan. 5, 1979, 2 infant sons, William Lee and Edward Ernest; sister Ruth Stoker and brother Carl Longstreth. Surviving are 1 daughter and son in law, Carol (Chester) Heckathorn of Brewster; 1 son and daughter in law, James (Mary) Jacobs of Beach City; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren; 1 sister Wilma Jones of Millersburg and 1 brother Harold Longstreth of Fairborn, Oh. Special thanks to Crossroads Hospice for their care and concern. A celebration of Naomi’s life will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, 230 2nd. Ave. S.E., Beach City with Randall Chapman officiating. Interment will be made in South Lawn Cemetery, Coshocton, Oh. Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
