Katherine Marlene Modich

Kathie Modich, of Beach City, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at the age of 63 after battleing cancer. Kathy was born December 4, 1951 to George and Helen Pipus in Canton, OH. Kathy enjoyed many different things most of which centeral around being outside; looking at covered bridges, old barns, light houses, old cemeteries and just enjoying the trees and what nature had to offer. She drove around in her old pickup truck finding everything there was to offer, from sign posts to read; to woods to explore. She did this when she wasn’t working at Klean Test as a quality control inspector or as a manager at McDonalds. Her hobbies included looking up facts and data for the Hoover Historical Society in Schonbrunn and tailoring the uniforms for the Fairless band and she loved announcing at the sporting events for Fairless. Surviving are her dearest companion Jim Pulley for 18 ½ years, her loving children; Joe Modich of Wilmot, Josh Modich of Beach City, Rebecca (Rick) Fife of Massillon and Jake Modich of Massillon; four grandchildren Alex and Kelsey Modich, Yetta and Kieren Fife and one great grandchild Micheal Modich. A celebration of Kathies life will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City. Interment will be made in South Lawn Cemetery, Beach City. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m
