Kermit J. Dotson, Sr., 83 of Beach City, passed away Sept. 8, 2017 following a brief illness. He was born at Racine, W. Va., the son of the late Stuart and Alice Hughes Dotson and a resident of the area over 50 years. He retired from Republic Steel at Massillon where he was a roll grinder. He was a loyal supporter of the Beach City Fire and Rescue. He is survived by his companion, Jenny Miller of the residence; former spouse, Linda Dotson of Beach City; two daughters and two sons, Kimberly (Jason) Gullett of St. Augustine, Fla, Faith (Scott Lash) Dotson, Kermit (Beth A.) Dotson Jr. , Casey (Elizabeth) Dotson all of Beach City and one stepson, Victor Miller; 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Friends may call Saturday Sept. 16, 2017 from 2 - 4 p.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City The celebration of Kermit’s life will be held at 4 p.m. honoring his work with the fire department with the SCFFA holding the Last Alarm Service.
