Betty M. Griffith, 89 of Beach City passed away Saturday after a brief illness. She was born at Beach City, the daughter of the late Charles and Goldie Giaque Widder and had been a life resident. Betty was a homemaker and member of the Beach City United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Percy E. (Junie) Griffith whom she married January 31, 1948. Two sons and daughter in law; Terry L. (Shirley) Griffith of Beach City, Michael A. (Suzanne) Griffith of Bolivar; sister and brothers, Donna Rittmaier, Harold (Sam) Widder and Robert Widder; Three grandchildren, Julie (Mathew) Feucht, Adam (Kendall) Griffith and Drew (Olivia) Griffith. One sister, Fern Fair is deceased. A celebration of Betty’s life will be held Tuesday April 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City. Interment will be made in South Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday on hour prior to the service.
