Gloria (Louise) J Smith

Gloria J. (Louise) Smith 92 a resident of Altercare of Navarre formerly of Beach City passed away February 28, 2022 following a period of declining health. She was born at Kieffer, W. Va., the daughter of the late John and Lona Russell Heaster and had been a Beach City resident 58 years. Gloria retired as a cook at Beach City Elementary School, and clerk at Morton Cards & Gifts at Massillon. She was a member of the former United Methodist Church and First Lutheran both of Beach City, Crazy Quilters and American Legion Auxiliary Post #549. She was preceded by her husband Herbert L. Smith August 18, 1988, two brothers and one sister and one great granddaughter Amanda Laizure. Surviving are one daughter and son in law, Linda (Robert Dwain)Grimm of Massillon, two sons and daughter in law, Leon (Evelyn) Smith of Beach City and Jeff Smith of Canton, two granddaughters, Kathy Mishler of Somerdale, Oh and Laura Smith of Beach City. A celebration of Gloria’s life will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City. Friends may call from 10 to 11 at the funeral home.
