Patricia Sue McConnell, 76 of New Philadelphia, Oh., passed away June 20, 2023 at Community Hospice, Truman House, New Philadelphia, Oh., following a period of declining health. She was born at Dennison, Oh., the daughter of the late Harry and Hilda Walker Cain and had been a life resident of the area. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Gerald McConnell, February 20, 2022 and a son Jamie Bryon Hemperly. Surviving are three sons and daughters in law: Shannon David Hemperly of Washington, D.C., Walter (Kurstie) Hemperly of Tuscarawas, Donald (Bobbi Jo) Coen of New Concord, two stepsons and daughters in law, Mike (Jan) McConnell of Tuscarawas and Scott (Barbara) McConnell of Midvale and many grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held, Friday, June 23, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, 230 2nd. Ave. SE Beach City with Linda Messe officiating, Fod and fellowship will be held following the service at Tusky V.F.W.
