Mary Lou Gerber McCartney, 76 a resident of Hennis Care Center, Bolivar passed away, Monday, November 12, 2012 following a period of declining health. She was born at Waynesboro, Tenn., a daughter of Charlie H. and Bertha Jiles Jones and had been an area resident 30+ years. She had been employed at Kleen Test Products and was of Methodist faith. Mary Lou was preceded by husbands, Galen Gerber and Ray McCartney, 5 brothers and 1 sister and 1 granddaughter. Surviving are 1 daughter and son in law and 2 sons and daughter in law; Dianne (Les) Skelly, George Jackson, Sye (Tammy) Jackson all of Beach City; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; 1 brother, Oscar Jones of Beach City, 2 sisters, Hessie Brewer of Bolivar and Linda Pirkle of Strasburg. Services will be held Friday, November 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City Interment will be made in Walnut Creek Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
