Irene, 92, died October 3, 2015. She was born near Ragersville, Ohio and is preceded in death 10 days earlier by her husband, Harry R. Beitzel, parents Edward and Wilma (Brown) Young and 4 brothers. Harry and Irene are survived by 2 children, Edward (Kathy) Beitzel of Montpelier, Idaho and Loretta (Randy) Layfield of Sherrodsville, Ohio; 3 grandchildren, Seth and Rachel Beitzel and Alexander Layfield; 2 great grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. Harry and Irene were together 70 years and never apart. Years ago, this is what Irene wrote for her obituary and this was both their belief: “My hope is in the resurrection made possible by Jesus, as John 5:28-29 states, ‘The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile thing to a resurrection of judgment.’ God’s original purpose was for men to inhabit a paradise earth. (Genesis 1: 27-28) This is still his purpose, as Psalms 37: 11-29 reads, ‘The meek will possess the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. The righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever on it.’ Revelation 21: 4 states Jehovah God will ‘wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’ This is My Hope.” They wished to be cremated. Their memorial ceremony will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 2177 Nave Road SE, Massillon, Ohio. Calling hours will start at 1 pm, with the Memorial Service at 2 pm.
