Dorothy Schott, 89 of Beach City passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 following a period of declining health. She was born at Caldwell, the daughter of the late Jesse and Mildred Nau Merry and had been a resident here 49 years. Dorothy had been a telephone operator with Ohio Bell Telephone, inspector at Timken and a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, St. Therese Parish, Brewster, Altar Rosary Society, Stark County Farmers Union, Brewster Moose and associate of VFW, New Phila. Surviving are her devoted husband Omer Schott whom she married April 27, 1946; 3 daughters and sons in law Sueanne (Schuyler) Crawford of Bolivar, Vickie (Randy) Lutz of Roanoke, Va., Lorie Nnyanzi of Columbus, 2 sons and daughter in law, Dale Schott, Don (Frieda) Schott both of Beach City, son in law and daughter in law, Keith Frey of Dundee and Georgie Schott of Beach City, 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. 3 sisters, Cynthia Law, Marilyn Merry, and Barbara Tucker and 3 brothers, Richard Merry, Dale Merry, Bill Merry. She was preceded by 1 daughter Connie Frey, 2 grandchildren and 1 sister and 2 brothers. A mass will be celebrated, Monday, October 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., in Holy Family Parish, St. Therese, Wabash Ave, Brewster. Interment will be made in St. Clement Cemetery, Navarre. Friends may call Sunday Oct. 13, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice, St. Therese, Brewster or HennisCare Centre, Dover.
