Jay A. Jones, Sr., 50 of Beach City formerly of the Strasburg/Dundee area passed away, Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Aultman Hospital Canton. Born at Dover, the son of the late Robert F. and Myra Alleshouse Jones Sr. Jay was employed at Case Farms, Winesburg where he was a laborer/mechanic. He is survived by 1 daughter Kelly Jones and 1 stepdaughter Krista Hart both of Midvale, 2 sons, Jay Jones Jr. of New Philadelphia and Jeff Jones of Mississippi, 2 grandsons, 3 sisters, Christina Dietrich of Farmerstown, Corrina Biddlestone and Catherina Frey both of Dundee, 2 brothers, Robert Jones Jr. of Dundee and William Jones of Texas. Friends may call Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 from 2 - 4 p.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, 230 2nd. Ave.. S.E., Beach City. A celebration of Jay’s life will be held at 4 p.m. following the visitation. Pastor Duane Wilbur will officiate.
