Glenys Garber, 95 a resident of Hennis Care Centre of Bolivar where she resided for the last 16 years after suffering a very severe stroke. She was born at Wales, England, the daughter of the late Idris and Esther Williams Thomas, coming to the U.S. when she was four years old. Her family settled in Justus and she graduated from Beach City High School in 1938. She had been employed by Office Supply of Dover and also a cafeteria worker in Beach City Schools. In 1941 she married, Clovis Garber, he preceded her in 1993. Glenys was a member of the United Methodist Church, Lion’s Club and Study Club all of Beach City. She is survived by one daughter, Lynda (Richard) Maxwell of Columbus; 4 sons, Thomas (Marlene) Garber of North Canton, Richard (Janine) Garber of Bolivar, David (Abby) Garber of Brewster, Steve (Julie) Garber of Columbus; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren complete the family. A celebration of Glenys’ life will be held, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2 p.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City with Pastor Jon Long officiating. Friends may call from 12 to 2 on Saturday. Interment will be made in Grandview Union Cemetery, Strasburg.
