Vivian Christina Rittmaier 88 of Beach City, passed away on July 21, 2015, after several years of declining health. She was born at Strasburg on May 17, 1927, the daughter of Zerelda Noftsinger Krantz and Thomas Krantz. She married Jack Rittmaier of Beach City, on May 4, 1957. A graduate of Strasburg High School, she was employed for many years by Ohio Bell Telephone Company in Canton. She donated her time freely to the Red Cross, Stark County Board of Elections and the Altar Rosary Society of the St. Therese Catholic Church in Brewster, where she was a lifetime member. Vivian very much enjoyed traveling with her family, having visited every one of the 50 states of the U.S., much of Canada and many countries in Europe. She exhibited a generous, genuine and extremely friendly personality and remained curious throughout her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Lewis and Theodore Krantz and sister, Ardyze Malcuit; husband Jack Rittmaier and sons, Rick Rittmaier and Rondal Rittmaier. She is survived by a son and daughter in law, Roderick and Randi (Davis) Rittmaier of Waldenbuch, Germany and a grandson, Erich Rittmaier of Waldenbuch, Germany. A celebration service of Vivian’s life will be held, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m., in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City with Father Robert Kaylor officiating. Interment will be made in South Lawn Cemetery Beach City.
