Frank A. Stamets, 67 of Beach City, was killed Friday after a van/ motorcycle accident of St. Rt. 62 Navarre. He was born at Beach City, the son of the late Charles and Stella Cunningham Stamets and was a Beach City resident, Massillon and here the last 8 years. Frank retired from Republic Steel, Massillon where he had been a maintenance technician. Surviving are his children; JoEllen Howell, Nicole Nowatzki, Frank Jr., Mark and Matthew Stamets; step children Jessica, Zachary, Stacy, Stephanie, Angela and Amy Jo; 22 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sister and brothers, Patty Cargnel, John, Clinton and Robert Stamets and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by daughter Barbara Stamets. A memorial service celebrating Frank’s life will be held Thursday August 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City with Pastor Chad Stutzman officiating.
