John D. Regula, 89 of Beach City passed away June 28, 2016 following a brief illness. He was born in Beach City, the son of the late Oscar and Orpha Walters Regula, and graduated from Beach City High School and Canton Business College. John was a partner in Regula Brothers, a milk transportation partnership with his brother Ralph. He was also a farmer and cattleman. He served 18 years on the Fairless Board of Education and 28 years as a board member of the Stark County Educational Service Center. He was a member of the Beach City United Methodist Church, the Beach City Lion’s Club, Beach City Grange and Stark County Fair Beef Committee. He and is wife Rhea also delivered Meals On Wheels. He was preceded in death by his wife, and true love, of 57 years, Rhea E. Regula. He is survived by children, Joyce Tolerton of Alliance, Tim (Terry) Regula of Beach City, Barbara (Ruedy) Leeman of New Albany, Pam Blackson of Uniontown, 10 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, brother, Ralph (Mary) Regula and their children and a family friend, Shirley Espenschied of Hartville. John’s life revolved around his family, church, and farm. He especially enjoyed annual vacations to Maumee Bay with his family. A celebration of John’s life will be held July 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at the United Methodist Church, 110 E. Main St., Beach City with Pastor Lee Peters officiating. Interment will be made in South Lawn Cemetery, Beach City. Friends may call Thursday, June 30 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Lantzer Funeral Home, 230 2nd. Ave. Beach City, Oh.
