Mary Alice Slates

Mary Alice Slates, 101 of Canal Fulton formerly of Brewster, Oh. passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at Chapel Hill Community. She was born at Martins Ferry, Oh. November 18, 1915, the daughter of the late Ashley Alfred and Sarah Mahlia Cusick McCue. A homemaker, she was a member of the Massillon Baptist Temple. Mary Alice was preceded by her husband Carl Slates, June 20, 1991 and daughter, Beverly Augspurger. Surviving are granddaughter Tracy Johnson and grandson Timothy Tondola and great grandchildren; Victoria Johnson. Anthony Johnson, Harley Tondola and Lacie Tondola and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Thursday December 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery Jewett. Per Mary Alice’s wishes there will be no calling hours.
