Graylon (Pug) Shelt, 76 of Beach City passed away Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born at Massillon the son of the late Lester and Virginia (June) Shook Shelt and had been a life resident of this area. Pug retired from the village of Beach City where he worked on the utility department. He was a Army/National Guard Veteran and member of the Army/Navy Club of Beach City. Dad was an extremely hard worker and took pride in all his work. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at the “farm†and loved hunting and fishing. He will be miss by his family and many friends. He is survived by two daughters Jill Ann Price of Navarre and Julie Howell of Brewster; four grandchildren, Michael (Ashley) Price of Navarre, Nicole (Jay) Mercer of Urichsville, Steven Heckathorn of Beach City and Cory (Lauren) Heckathorn of Cleveland; 6 great grandchildren Alexis and Kash Price, Kelsie, Kayden, Kingston Mercer and Lilah Dyer’; siblings, Paul Shelt, Navarre; Roger (Elaine) Shelt, Strasburg; Kenneth “Pete†(Lori) Shelt, Bolivar and Lorraine (Ron Hazel) Bigler, Beach City. In addition to his parents , Pug was preceded by wife Rebecca (Becky) in 1998 and three siblings. Friends may call on Saturday from 12 to 1 p.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City. A celebration service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be made in South Lawn Cemetery Beach City.
