Franklin D. Kilgore, Sr., 74 of Navarre, Oh. passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009 at Akron General Hospital following a period of declining health. He was born at Navarre, the son of the late Marques and Inez Kilgore and had been a life resident . Frank was retired from farming and as a millwright at LTV Steel, Massillon He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Navarre; Cypress Chapter #604 Masonic Lodge, Strasburg; 32nd. Degree Masonic Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, Brewster American Legion # 160; SOAR of the United Steel Workers. He is survived by his wife the former Shirley Nofsinger of the residence. 1 daughter, Jill (Dave) Collins of Brewster; 3 sons, Franklin (Victoria) Kilgore, Jr., Navarre; Jeff (Karen) Kilgore, Massillon, Jack (Gloria) Kilgore of Navarre. 2 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. 1 brother, Wayne Kilgore of Dover. 2 sisters and 2 brothers are deceased. A service celebrating his life will be held Friday, October 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City with Rev. Elaine Tullis officiating. Interment will be made in Welty Cemetery, Beach City. Friends may call Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
