Velva L Roy

Velva L. Roy age 90 of Brewster, passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 at Brewster Parke following a period of declining health. She was born at West Hamlin, W. Va., the daughter of the late William and Letha Saunders Ball and had resided here 50 + years. A LPN, she had worked for the former Massillon State Hospital and Brewster Nursing Home. Velva was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church of Massillon, She was preceded by her husband Haskel Roy in 1995, two daughters, Elva Hawkinberry and Patsy Fairchild and two grandchildren, five brothers and two sisters. Surviving her are Two daughters and sons in law; Bonnie Green of New Philadelphia and Kathy (Jack) Baylor of Navarre, Ronnie Hawkinberry of Texas and Allen Fairchild of Beach City; Eight grandchildren, Twenty great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Welty Cemetery, Beach City.
