Ruth M. Breniser was born March 22,1923, the daughter of the late John and Veronica Elmerick Stotzer of Somerdale. She was one of twelve children, with one sister, Helen (Victor) Kollar of Dover surviving. Ruth married Carl Breniser on Oct. 22, 1947 and celebrated 54 years of marriage before is death in 2002. Her happiest moments came from gardening, cooking for her family and knitting. Ruth and Carl enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and many countries and playing cards with family and friends. She was a member of St. John’s Church in Strasburg and a Lifetime member of Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW and a member of the American Legion of Beach City. Ruth is survived by son and daughter; Richard (Diane) Breniser and Susan (John) Beard both of Bolivar; two grandchildren, Amy (David) Fogle of Bolivar and Kelly (Jamie) McKenzie of Canton and two great-grandchildren, Peyton McKenzie and Piper Fogle; two sisters in law, Arlene Reed and Janet Stotzer. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded by siblings, Mary Kilchenmann, Martha Leeman, Clara Vogt, Grace Specht, Frieda Lieser, Ida (Pepper) Shaffer, John, Walter, Robert and Fritz Stotzer. A service celebrating Ruth’s life will be held, Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City . Interment will be made in GreenLawn Cemetery, Wilmot.
