Mary Lou Reser, 84 a resident at Walnut Hills formerly of Wilmot passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 after a lingering illness to be with her Savior in Heaven and sing with the Angels. She loved the old hymns. Mary Lou was born Sept. 17, 1934 in Harmon, Oh., to the late Mike and Faye Starkey and had lived in the area all her life. A graduate of Beach City High School in 1952 where she was honored with the Outstanding Citizenship Award. She married Donald Reser, May 25, 1955 in Angola, Ind. and celebrated 56 years of marriage until Don’s passing Feb. 28, 2011. Preceding her in death was her husband, Don; a stillborn son, Neil Francis, her precious Grandson, Hans Grossniklaus, her brother Russell Starkey, sisters Lola Swan and Betty Mears. Surviving are her son, Jeffrey of the home, daughter, Julia (Rick) Grossniklaus of Wooster, Granddaughter, Amber (Mike) Sandrock of Wooster, 4 Great grandchildren,Libby, Grace, Owen and Joy whom she enjoyed dearly. She will be buried along side her beloved husband in South Lawn Cemetery, Beach City She was of Methodist faith and loved hearing the Methodist Church chimes. She was a Partner in the Plus and Minus Sixty Program, which she enjoyed very much. Stay humble and kind. A celebration of Mary Lou’s life will be held, Monday, February 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
