June Marie Smith (Davis), age 69, lifelong resident of Brewster, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 18, 2021 with family at her side. She was courageous and showed tremendous strength during her battle with Alzheimer’s. June was born on April 6, 1952 to the late Lulu Davis (Boyer). She was a 1970 graduate of Fairless High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She retired in 2014 after 25 years of dedicated service to Brewster Cheese. June’s interests included crossword puzzles, crocheting and traveling to Las Vegas and Mountaineer Casino with lifelong friend Susie Hostetler. June in now reunited with the love of her life. David Smith, with whom she shared 33 wonderful years. She is survived by her son, Greg (Laynee) Smith, daughter, Jamie Keefer (Mike), grandchildren Skylar Smith, Katelyn Halter, Ian Smith, Jerry, Jesse and Kimberly Keefer and several great-grandchildren.. She also leaves behind her sister, Linda Carter and many beloved nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her mother, husband, brothers, Randall, John and Richard Davis. Graveside services will be held, Friday, October 22, 2021 at 12 p.m. in South Lawn Cemetery, Beach City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve (hospicewr.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
