Mary (Jean) Jean Widder

Mary (Jean) Widder, 83 of Beach City, passed away, February 9, 2023 at Truman House Hospice, New Philadelphia following a period of declining health. She was born at Massillon, the daughter of the late Gust and Elizabeth Naomi Blaser Froelich and had been a life resident of the area. She had been employed as a bus driver with Fairless Local Schools., Jean was a member of the Wilmot United Methodist Church and the bell choir and sang with the Massillon Lincoln Ladies. She was preceded by her husband, Robert D. Widder, May 28, 2019, three sisters, Joy Young, Jane Kaser and Rosanne Witham. Surviving are children, Bruce (Jo) Widder of New Philadelphia, Barbara (Tom) Tucker of Beach City, Bonnie Hastedt of Dover, Barre Widder of Beach City and Beth Widder of Beach City, two sisters, Rita (Jim) Mullett and Robin (Gerald ) Mayhew, twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. a celebration of life service will be held Monday, February 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Wald officiating. Interment will be made in South Lawn Cemetery, Beach City, Calling hours will be Sunday February 12, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice, New Philadelphia, Oh.
