Judith Lynne (Treadway) Loar Born 11/22/1945- 5/20/2024 Born in Massillon Ohio to Homer and Margarette (Coss) Treadway. She is survived by her husband, Roger Loar, as well as her children, Lisa Smitherman and Roger (Kristi) Loar; grandchildren: Andrew (Tara) and Kaitlynne Smitherman also Jakob and Kylee Loar; great-grandchildren Myla Carolynne and Charlotte Jo. Sister-in-law Delores Earle, Sister-in-law Sandy Treadway, Brothers-in-laws’ Wilbur Dean Loar, Robert Loar, Tommy Loar and Roy Loar; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and her Aunt Bertha (Bert) Class. and her brother Donald Treadway. A graduate of Washington High School in Massillon, she was active over the years in planning class reunions. After high school, she worked at Cohen Furniture, First National, and McKesson Robbins. She worked at USPS as a Rural Mail Carrier retiring as a general clerk with 20 years of service. She wore many other hats across her lifetime- Supporting all the activities her children and grandchildren were involved in at Tuslaw volunteering as a Band Mom, 4-H mom, Wrestling/Football Mom as well as Meme to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a talented artist in many mediums enjoying ceramics, quilting, Trumpe-l’oeil painting and gardening as a lifelong member of the Tuslaw Garden Club. Many a students, friends or family member spent time painting ceramics in her basement ceramic studio or going on annual quilting trips through Amish country. She loved Hilton Head Island and shared it with many people through her condo on the beach. Baking many different kinds of cookies at Christmas was another joy she shared. Her final years were quiet after suffering a stroke, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
