John F. Lantzer, 79 of Beach City passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Aultman Palliative Care, Canton following a period of declining health. He was born at Wilmot, the son of the late Walter and Minnie Fry Lantzer and had been a life resident of the area. He retired in 1992 as a truck driver for Dorkin, Cleveland, Oh. John was a member of First Lutheran Church, Beach City. He is survived by his wife, Donna Sampsel Lantzer to whom he was married 60 years on March 26, 2010. 1 daughter and son in law; Sandra (Andy) Miller of Sarasota, Fla., 3 sons and daughters in law; Randy (Sharon) Lantzer of New Philadelphia, Tom J. (Sue) Lantzer of Dundee, Martin “Moe” (Annette) Lantzer of Beach City. 1 brother and 3 sisters, William (Bud) Lantzer of Beach City, Laura Klick of Utica, Hazel DeHoff and Florence Orr both of Massillon. 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City with Rev. Steven Woyen officiating. Interment will be made in South Lawn Cemetery, Beach City.
