Betty M. Baltzly, 85 a resident of Altercare of Navarre formerly of Beach City, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Altercare following a period of declining health. She was born at Ashland , Oh. November 26, 1926, the daughter of the late, Alva Cale and Wilma Smith Cale Tinkey and had been a resident of the area since 1948. Betty was a graduate of the College of Wooster in 1948, a homemaker and also had been a volunteer with Red Cross, nursing homes and special education. She was a member of Beach City Bible Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Walter Alvin, March 25, 1985 and son in law, Alan Kunschner. Surviving are 3 sons and daughters in law, Bruce (Jean) Baltzly of Beach City, Nathan (Elisabeth) Baltzly of Navarre, Brian (Jeannette) Baltzly of Osteen, Fla.; 2 daughters and son in law Kathy Kunschner of Gibsonia, Pa., Debra (Ted) Harrison of Delroy; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A celebration of Betty’s life service will be held, Tuesday May 8, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home. Interment will be made in South Lawn Cemetery, Beach City. Friends may call Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
