David J. Eberly, Sr.

David J. Eberly, Sr., 87 a Beach City resident passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 following a period of declining health. He was born at Massillon, the son of the late Charles D. and Elsie C. Eberly. David was a WW II Navy Veteran, he and was a member of the V.F.W., Navarre, he retired as a heavy equipment operator for Wilmot Mining. He was preceded by his wife Gladys Ammon Eberly in 1978, 1 step daughter Tanya Wilson, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are 1 son, David J. (Valerie) Eberly, Jr. of Beach City grandchildren, David Eberly, Leslie Eberly, Christina Miller and numerous other not local and 2 great grandchildren, Alex and Makayla and 1 brother, Wayne Hurd of Akron. A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City with Pastor Mike Knibbs officiating. Interment will be made in South Lawn Cemetery, Beach City. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and 1 hour before the service Wednesday.
