Virginia June Shelt, 93 a resident of Altercare of Noble Ponds passed away Monday at Mercy Medical Center, Canton following a period of declining health. She was born in Allegheny County, Pa., the daughter of the late Lloyd and Agnes Fair Schook and had been an area resident 81 years. June was a longtime waitress at the former LuMinko’s Restaurant in Navarre. She was preceded by her husband, Lester E. Shelt , July 16, 1996, one son, Jeffrey David and 2 brothers. Surviving are 2 daughters; Linda Alexander of Dalton and Lorraine Bigler of Beach City; 5 sons Russell and Kenneth (Pete) {Lori} both of Bolivar, Paul {Sue} of Massillon, Graylon (Pug) of Beach City and Roger {Elaine} of Strasburg; numerous grand, great grand and greatgreatgrandchildren. A service celebrating June’s life will be held Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in Lantzer Funeral Home, Beach City with Deacon Steven Wyles officiating. Interment will be made in Union Lawn Cemetery, Navarre. Friends may call on Thursday from 11 to 1 qt the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, Att. Donation Clerk, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, Pa. 19140-4131 in honor of great-grandson suffering from Arthrogyposis Multiplex congenita.
